The goal of the new survey process is to improve the effectiveness of annual nursing home surveys by combining traditional and QIS survey protocols. The hope is that improvements will be seen at the population level to reduce adverse events and preventable healthcare-acquired conditions and improve care.

• Identify the process by which the survey teams will conduct the survey process in skilled nursing facilities

• Learn how to provide direction to the facility interdisciplinary team on survey readiness under the survey protocols
