Join PharmScript, LLC. on Tuesday, May 9th, from 2:00-3:00 pm EDT. Robin Davis will present the webinar with Pathway Health.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services continue to focus on nursing home use of antipsychotic and behavioral-altering medications. CMS is launching a new effort to identify the inappropriate use of antipsychotic drugs and prescribing practices. In addition, Supplemental Medical Review Contractors have been tasked to review Medicare A claims of beneficiaries living in Skilled Nursing Homes receiving antipsychotic medications. Join us and discover how a positive approach to care will facilitate reducing antipsychotic medication and improve the resident’s quality of life.
Robin will share the following learning objectives:
1. Review CMS’s focus on reducing antipsychotic medications to improve the quality of care in the nation’s nursing homes.
2. Describe an interdisciplinary approach to reducing behavior-altering medications
3. Apply a “Positive Approach to Care” and discover techniques to reduce undesirable responses in people with dementia.
The webinar is approved for 1 CEU credit for nursing home administrators, directors of nursing, and nurses.
