Cindy Schechter, RPh
Senior Director Cost Containment Strategies
Cindy Schechter joined Pharmscript in 2014 as a regional services director. In her role, she is responsible for managing client relationships, and ensuring the highest quality customer service and seamless pharmacy experience. Additionally, as a primary architect of the company’s cost containment program, Cindy is responsible for aiding facilities in providing clinically appropriate care in the most cost-effective manner. Her ability to listen to and understand the changing needs of the long-term care community helps ensure that the program continues to evolve and meets the needs of both providers and residents.
With more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare and pharmacy industries, Cindy brings a depth of knowledge and experience to her work with long-term care facilities. Further, as a trained Doula counseling and supporting terminally ill patients, she uniquely understands clients’ challenges in caring for residents and caregivers.
Prior to joining PharmScript, Cindy worked at Omnicare in customer service management. She was the co-general manager for a site servicing 35,000 beds. Previously, she also managed a community retail pharmacy.
Cindy earned a bachelor of science in pharmacy from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy at UMD College Park. She is a registered pharmacist in Maryland, Virginia, and New York.
